What is Malware ?

Malware, it is also known as malicious software. Malware is a software or a program which is designed to harm the system of the target users.

Malware is not a single unit instead it is an Umbrella term which includes Viruses, Ransomware, Spyware, Trojans. Each of these terms are very dangerous if they somehow enter into the user's system.

They can steal your personal data like images, videos and contacts. Apart from these your bank details are targeted most.

Types of Malware:

As we discussed earlier there are many types of the Malware. In this article we will learn about the following :

* Viruses

* Trojan

* Spyware

* Keyloggers

* Ransomware

*Worms

Viruses –

Viruses are the malicious program which  can copy themselves on the computer or the network. Many times you may have heard that we should avoid using the pendrives of others. The reason behind this is becasue if those pendrives contains virus then these viruses will pass from one system to another. Sometimes clicking the unknown link or file can run these viruses. This type of virus can manipulate or delete your data, your important data could be lost. The other programs running on your system gets infected from this type of virus.

Trojan horse –

Trojan horse is a computer program that looks very real. But inside it is something else. That is, it does not happen as it appears. That's why it is not easily caught. Although Trojan Horse does not make its own copies. But once it enters a system, it opens doors for other Malwares. And thus ruins the whole system.

Trojan Horse is also called Trojan. This is a very popular weapon of hackers. Because with its help any system can be controlled remotely. That is, any person sitting in any corner of the world can control your computer and the data can be used anywhere.

Worms –

A worm is a computer program or virus that copies itself and spreads to other computers.

Worms are also similar to viruses, but worms are independent, they do not require any person to spread to other computers, rather they themselves spread to other computers. Worms send their copy to other computers using the network. Worms easily spread to other computers in the network through web pages and chat messages. Worm slows down the computer so that computer programs stop working.

Spyware –

Spyware is a type of malware that is installed on computers and collects information about users without their knowledge. The presence of spyware is usually hidden from users. Typically, spyware is secretly installed on users' personal computers. However, sometimes, spyware such as keyloggers are also installed by the owner of a shared, corporate, or public computer in order to covertly monitor other users.

Ransomware -

If we talk about the literal meaning, then the word Ransomware is made up of two words - Ransom and Ware. Here Ransom means ransom and Ware means Software. In this way, Ransomware means - ransom demanding software. That is, such software or computer program which demands ransom is called ransomware.

Ransomware is very dangerous Malware! as per secutritt's point of view. THrough this the hacket can control the mobile or computer of the target user and takes complete access of the user's system under its control. In this way it prevents the Victim from accessing the data. So that neither Victim is able to login to his phone or computer nor is it able to access its data.

Logic Bombs –

A logic bomb, also known as "slag code", is a malicious piece of code intentionally inserted into software to execute a malicious function when triggered by a specific event. It is not a virus, although it usually behaves in a similar way. It is stealthily inserted into the program where it remains inactive until specified conditions are met.

Keyloggers –

Such tools are mostly used on targeted persons. When it is installed in our system, then whatever we type after that the software records all its information and creates a log file. This log file gets saved into the hacker's database. Hacker can access and use this data as per his requirements.

All type of key events are recorded so the hacker can obtain the imporant ban details and passwords and other sensitive information.
